About us

A little about us and a breif history of how we started.

Dating back to the 16th century and built of locally quarried sandstone, situated on the south gate of Hardwick Park is the beautifully historic Hardwick Inn.
A traditional family run Inn set in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.

When you step over the threshold, you instantly feel the heritage, tradition and quality of a truly authentic country Inn. Its historical feel has been retained with its period features, open fires and friendly atmosphere. The perfect place to enjoy a meal and a drink while exploring the peak district.

In summer the Inn has two beautifully landscaped beer gardens overlooking the estate. In winter, the open fires are lit and the quaint parlour rooms become a snug haven to enjoy a glass of mulled wine or two over dinner. Current landlord Peter Batty & his family pride themselves on providing the very best quality food, drink and service. With a reputation preceded by no other in the peak district. Peter himself was the longest serving landlord in Derbyshire.

The Hardwick Inn is a special place, steeped in history & tradition. There is nowhere better for a family meal or relaxing drink in the English countryside.
